Nightshade

Nightshade (Discarded Heroes #1) by Ronie Kendig.  They've championed freedom, survived the cruelties of war, and now these same heroes return home... wounded and discarded. Former Navy SEAL Max Jacobs is fighting a new war a war for his family. Suffering from PTSD, Max is unable to control his anger and alienates himself from his wife, who files a protective order against him. Their lives are about to collide when Sydney Jacobs hunts down the source of a human interest story at her local newspaper. Will she uncover Nightshade, the elite team Max is covertly working with, and bring danger both to Max and herself?
Max has served his country in numerous tours over seas.  He comes home with PTSD and suffers from nightmares of what he's seen and done.  He doesn't know how to handle his feelings and thinks he'd be less of a man if he admitted needing help.  This causes his wife to file for separation.  Max ends up with a group of 5 other men like himself that have been selected to go undercover to complete missions no one else will do.  Nightshade helps return several people who have been taken hostage in remote villages and peaks the interest of a reporter.  Sydney does everything she can to find the men who don't exist, but continue to help rescue people.  Her digging takes her and 2 other reporters to several countries and into more danger than they ever expected.  When Max and Sydney's paths cross they not only have to fight for their lives but their marriage.
